The Director of Talent is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies that align with the organization’s goals and culture. This role oversees workforce planning and metrics, employer branding, and recruiting part of the talent lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a visionary people leader with a passion for building high-performing, inclusive teams.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master’s preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 8–10+ years of progressive HR or talent management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling talent programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in employee branding to attract top talent.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience in building and scaling talent programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in employee branding to attract top talent.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and DEIB principles for US and Canada
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and talent analytics tools. Prefer experience with Dayforce.

Responsibilities
  • Talent Strategy & Planning
  • Design and implement a comprehensive talent attraction strategy for the US and Canada
  • Partner with senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with business objectives
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives to anticipate future talent needs which may include developing talent attraction strategies for large scale bids
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in talent attraction
  • Employer Branding & Marketing
  • Oversee employer brand development and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
  • Manage recruitment marketing campaigns, including social media, job boards, and events
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to enhance the company’s visibility as an employer of choice
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Lead the design and execution of proactive sourcing strategies to attract top-tier, diverse talent
  • Enhance employer branding and candidate experience
  • Implement data-driven hiring practices and tools to include a talent scorecard
  • Recruitment Systems & Reporting
  • System Strategy & Optimization
  • Lead continuous improvement of recruitment systems (e.g., Dayforce Recruitment, sourcing tools)
  • Align system capabilities with the organization’s talent attraction strategy and hiring goals
  • Process Automation & Efficiency
  • Design and optimize workflows within the recruitment system to streamline candidate sourcing, screening, and hiring
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve recruiter productivity and candidate experience
  • Data & Analytics
  • Leverage system data to generate insights on sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, candidate quality, and DEI metrics
  • Develop dashboards and report for leadership to support data-driven decision making
  • System Integration
  • Ensure seamless integration between recruitment systems and other HR technologies (e.g., HRIS, onboarding platforms, background check providers).
  • Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams to maintain data integrity and system performance.
  • User Training & Support
  • Provide training and support to recruiters, hiring managers, and HR partners on system use and best practices.
  • Act as the point of contact for troubleshooting and vendor management.
  • Candidate Experience
  • Use system capabilities to enhance the candidate journey, including personalized communication, mobile-friendly applications, and timely updates.
  • Monitor and improve candidate satisfaction through system-enabled feedback tools
  • Team Leadership
  • Manage and mentor a team of talent acquisition professionals
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and results
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, hiring managers, and external partners
  • Represent the organization at industry events, job fairs and networking functions
