Under the direction of the Vice President of Nursing (VP), the Director of Critical Care is responsible on a 24-hour basis for the planning and comprehensive operations of a specific clinical unit or group of units ensuring compliance with hospital and nursing mission, goals, philosophy, policies and procedures.  The Director of Critical Care utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of patient care and ensures quality care is provided through appropriate allocation of human resources, maintaining financial control of the unit, and serving as a liaison between administration and staff.  30 beds with approximately 80 FTE's.  Current RN license is required.  The individual must demonstrates personal and professional responsibility; participates in creating an atmosphere of mutual trust, acceptance, recognition and respect; and assumes responsibility for own professional development. This position also serves as liaison to physicians, administration and hospital staff.  rec:max Qualifications BSN , Master's Degree preferred, Unrestricted AL or Multi State RN License, BLS and ACLS * 2 years of Director level experience required including Business and Personnel experience * Background in Critical Care required * Must demonstrate personal and professional responsibility * Must assume responsibility for own professional development
