Department Physical Therapy Job Summary This leader has operational accountability and oversight, and manages the daily activities of Rehabilitation Services for Venice Hospital. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals. Required Qualifications Current State of Florida licensure as one of the following: Physical Therapist (PT) Occupational Therapist (OT) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Minimum five (5) years of experience in a related rehabilitation field At least three (3) years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Business or Health Administration (MBA or MHA) Experience across the continuum of rehabilitation care (Acute Care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient) Strong knowledge of insurance rules and regulations, including: Medicare Medicaid Managed Care Commercial insurance Demonstrated ability to: Analyze complex problems and drive them to resolution Exercise independent judgment and sound decision-making Lead teams effectively and foster collaboration Build and maintain productive working relationships at all organizational levels Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders Develop, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary therapy teams Manage departmental budgets and financial performance Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and clinical innovation Serve as a key liaison between clinical teams, executive leadership, and payers Mandatory Education BD: Bachelor Degree Employment Screening Requirements As part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System’s commitment to keeping people safe, all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations are required to undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. https://info.flclearinghouse.com/
