Description We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Director, Revenue to join our dynamic accounting team. This role will enhance compliance with accounting standards, financial analysis, and collaboration across departments. The Director, Revenue will be responsible for leading a team to ensure optimization of revenue strategy, forecasting, and reporting initiatives to enhance financial performance and drive sustainable growth across the organization. Essential Job Functions• Develop and implement revenue management strategies that align with the organization's overall financial goals and objectives• Assist in the preparation and analysis of revenue forecasts, budgets, and financial reports to inform decision-making.• Analyze historical data and market trends to create detailed revenue forecasts and reports for key stakeholders• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and efficiency improvements• Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure revenue performance and provide actionable insights• Supervise and mentor a team of billing and accounts receivable professionals, ensuring performance expectations are met• Lead regular revenue meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and opportunities • Manage revenue close processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results• Provide training and guidance to cross-functional teams on revenue policies and compliance requirements• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within revenue operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Requirements • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting software; experience with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, or similar platforms is a plus. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset. • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making • Excellent leadership abilities • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities • Proactive mindset with a solution-oriented approach to challenges • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships and influencing stakeholders • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or related field; or Associate’s degree with comparable experience • Five or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience • In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles and accounting standards License and Certification: N/A Position Demands: This position requires sitting, bending, and stooping for up to 8 hours per day in an office setting. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Ability to learn technical material. The person in this position occasionally needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with guests, team members, and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information.
