Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Risk and Assurance, you will provide strategic leadership across the department’s risk, audit, insurance, business continuity, and portfolio governance functions. You will lead highly skilled teams delivering technical and advisory services to support the department’s compliance, resilience, and performance assurance frameworks.
This role is responsible for overseeing whole-of-department governance policy and standards, and for managing high-value relationships with internal executives and key external stakeholders, including the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Victorian Public Sector Commission, and the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Strategy and Performance, the Director plays a key leadership role in embedding strong governance practices across the department, contributing to strategic outcomes, and supporting the Secretary and executive through expert advice and assurance.
