Band Level 6 Job Description Summary The Director, Risk and Assurance Enablement will drive and operationalize the U.S. Ethics, Risk and Compliance (ERC) healthcare compliance risk management framework through innovative data, technology, and process enablement. This role will collaborate closely with U.S. Insights & Decision Science and Corporate Ethics, Risk, and Compliance teams to strengthen risk detection, enhance routine business activity reviews, and lead controls testing and assurance initiatives. The Director will emphasize leveraging advanced analytics, reporting, and technology solutions to deliver actionable insights and ensure robust compliance across the organization. Novartis will not sponsor visas for this position. Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role. This role is required to be in our East Hanover, NJ office 3x/week. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Operationalize risk management processes leveraging data, technology, and process enablement to drive effective risk detection and assurance for healthcare compliance. Lead and develop the Risk & Assurance Enablement team (1-2 Associate Directors), ensuring delivery of dashboards, reporting, and enablement tools. Partner with Insights & Decision Science and Corporate ERC to enhance risk assessment, controls testing, and business activity reviews. Oversee the evaluation and implementation of compliance risk management solutions to support future-state technology stack proposals. Ensure integration of risk indicators and testing outcomes into Enablon and other systems for comprehensive reporting. Drive continuous improvement in risk management processes, leveraging analytics and technology to inform decision-making. Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and compliance across the ERC function and with enterprise partners. Essential Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MS in Data Analytics, Risk Management, or related field) Significant experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry Significant experience in risk management, healthcare compliance, analytics, product management or related roles Proven leadership and people management experience Demonstrated experience with compliance technology solutions and data analytics Product management experience preferred Desirable Requirements: Effectiveness and efficiency of risk management processes Team performance and development Quality and impact of analytics, reporting, and enablement tools Successful partnership and alignment with Insights & Decision Science and Corporate ERC Adoption and integration of technology solutions Improvement in risk detection and assurance outcomes Stakeholder satisfaction and engagement Benefits & Rewards The salary for this position is expected to range between $176,400 and $327,600 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
