Job Description The Director of Risk Management will provide strategic leadership for the delivery of risk management services across major projects or programmes, acting as a senior trusted advisor to Clients and internal leadership teams. The role is accountable for defining risk strategy, governance, and standards, while overseeing the successful delivery of risk management services across multiple projects and clients. The Director will operate ensuring that risk management supports informed decision-making, delivery certainty, and value protection for complex construction projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide strategic leadership for the delivery of Risk Management consulting services across major capital programmes. Act as sponsor for risk workstreams, ensuring quality, consistency, and value across all engagements. Define and implement risk management frameworks, governance, and reporting aligned to Client and organisational objectives. Serve as the senior point of contact for Clients, providing trusted advisory support. Oversee programme and portfolio-level risk exposure, ensuring effective integration with cost, schedule, and commercial controls. Lead, mentor, and develop Risk Management teams, setting standards and best practices. Provide independent challenge on critical risks, mitigation strategies, and residual exposure. Support business development through senior input to bids, proposals, and client engagements. Qualifications 15+ years’ experience delivering risk management across complex construction or projects and programmes. Proven experience operating at Director or senior level within a consulting environment. Strong track record advising Clients. Deep understanding of international construction standards, risk frameworks, and best practice. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
