Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As the Director of Sales Association Health Plan and Small Group, you’ll be at the forefront of driving strategic growth and optimizing financial performance across these vital business lines. This leadership role combines strategic planning, operational oversight, and relationship management to foster sustainable growth and enhance member satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Innovative Growth Driver: Spearhead sustainable revenue growth and achieve optimal financial performance in Association Health Plan and Small Group portfolios. Expand our membership base through creative market strategies and robust partnerships.
  • Excellence Architect: Design, implement, and optimize comprehensive service models that improve efficiency and elevate customer/member experience across both lines of business.
  • Cross-Functional Collaborator: Partner with leaders in Underwriting, Actuary, Analytics, and Operations to develop and disseminate best practices for AHP administration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to boost membership and revenue. Forge strong partnerships with key associations, brokers, and stakeholders. Monitor market trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Financial Management: Oversee daily performance management, develop budgets and forecasts, and collaborate with teams for strategic product offerings, pricing, and risk management.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor Account Managers and Account Executives, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Lead engagement plans to drive impactful results.
  • Commercial Excellence: Ensure efficiency and effectiveness in commercial operations, continuously improving processes for high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Develop and execute producer engagement strategies, manage expense budgets, and stay abreast of industry trends.
