JOB OVERVIEW

MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world.
We are looking for a highly organized, client oriented, driven individual to join our technical sales team. This teammate would have an excellent understanding of the needs of our clients in the mineral exploration and mining industry and would have earned the trust and respect of their already well-developed industry customer and referral base.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Negotiation and sales competencies
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Good knowledge of geochemistry, mineral exploration and mining market
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel >50%
  • Degree in industry-related disciplines, MBA preferred
  • Up to 5 years of experience in the management of a sales team
  • Must be fit and able to pass basic physicals as needed for mine site entry
  • Ability and willingness to travel >50%
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Lead the existing business development team in growing revenue and market penetration exceeding annual targets.
  • Employ a consultative sales practice, develop strategic client relationships to increase the analytical commercial and onsite lab business while maximizing profit in accordance with the commercial strategy.
  • Lead the business development and accounts sales team to exceed targets and grow the business through developing a high-performance, operationally aware, customer-focused sales culture.
  • Work with the VP of Growth to grow the team while optimizing sales roles and territory assignments for higher revenue per team member.
  • Aid in creation of plans for retention, succession, and ongoing skill development.
  • Provide weekly feedback on market intelligence to commercial, business, and operational teams.
  • Set realistic customer expectations employing operational empathy and assist customers in setting reasonable expectations.
  • Aid in the preparation of budgets and monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts while continually aligning the sales plan to achieve targets
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and work with the commercial team to ensure procurement registrations and relationships are current
  • Ensure the team adheres to MS Dynamics CRM data entry for all sales activity and material outcomes
  • Lead the development of sales proposals, presentations, and marketing assets and events.
  • Actively ensure personal and team participation in professional associations, networking and trade show events
  • Ability to work from home 4/5 days of the week commuting one day to the Langley, BC laboratory.
  • Requirement to attend industry functions in downtown Vancouver, BC
