Director SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Job Description Coordinate preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated and operating segment financial statements, in accordance with US GAAP, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, etc., for purposes of external reporting requirements and distribution to Executive Management Team Coordinate preparation, review and filing of all SEC reports, including quarterly Form 10-Q’s, annual Form 10-K’s, annual Form 11-K’s for Company benefit plans, and Form 8-K’s for quarterly earnings releases and as needed for other material events Coordinate preparation and review of Company’s 401K benefit plan financial statements Coordinate preparation and review of statutory financial statements for required international filings Assist with coordination of the Company’s consolidated, benefit plan, and statutory financial statement audits and SOX control work with internal and external audit teams; including communicating, tracking and managing audit documentation requests, preparing and maintaining appropriate SOX control documentation, etc. Conduct technical accounting research and assess impacts / potential changes to accounting processes and financial reporting requirements for accounting policy changes, significant business transactions, new accounting standard updates, and SEC reporting disclosure updates Prepare technical accounting analyses and other related accounting documentation (accounting memos, etc.) for recurring technical analyses (impairment analyses, going concern evaluations, etc.), policy evaluation/changes, and new or significant business transactions Mentor and train Financial Reporting team members ensuring appropriate growth and development in for both company specific and broader industry financial reporting and technical accounting updates Qualifications Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred CPA License preferred Minimum 7 - 9 years public accounting and/or accounting management experience with publicly-held companies In-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements Experience with iXBRL tagging requirements Experience using Financial Reporting software (Workiva, DFIN, etc.) and Oracle based accounting and financial reporting systems a plus Strong skillset using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Power Point Strong technical acumen, analytical and financial reporting skills Strong organizational skills; must be able to effectively manage and prioritize objectives to meet normal financial reporting and technical accounting requirements, in addition to ad hoc / one-time projects and/or business transactions, as needed Strong oral and written communication skills Must be able to work onsite in Plano, TX Sponsorship Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
