Description
Powering the world’s payments ecosystem ACI powers the payments ecosystem – globally, and you power ACI.  You’ll innovate, collaborate, and grow – in an energetic technology culture with decades of proven success.  ACIers – in all roles and levels – are truly your colleagues and many are your friends. Our size and reach allow you to see the global impact of your work. You are visible, your talents are valued, and you are empowered to shape the future of payments.   THE OPPORTUNITY ACI Worldwide moves money for the world - processing more than $14 trillion in payments every day for banks, intermediaries, merchants, and billers across more than 95 countries. Our North America Banking business is at the centre of that story, and our Professional Services organisation is how we turn technology into outcomes that clients can trust. We're looking for a Director of Professional Services to lead delivery across a portfolio of strategic banking accounts in North America. This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role: you'll own the end-to-end delivery of complex payment implementation programmes, lead a team of project managers and technical consultants, and be the face of PS to some of our most important clients. This role sits one level below the VP, Professional Services - North America, and is the engine room of regional delivery. You'll operate with real autonomy - owning your portfolio's performance, commercial health, and client relationships - while working as an integral part of the broader North America leadership team. If you're a delivery leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments, builds trusted client partnerships, and knows how to get the best from a talented team, this is the role for you.   WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead delivery across a portfolio of strategic banking accounts You'll own end-to-end accountability for a set of complex, multi-stream payment implementation programmes - ensuring they land on time, within scope, and on budget. You'll set the pace, maintain delivery rigour, and be the senior escalation point when things get hard. Build and run a high-performing PS team You'll lead a team of around 20-30 project managers, technical consultants, and business analysts. That means hiring well, developing people deliberately, managing performance honestly, and creating an environment where talented professionals do the best work of their careers. Own the client relationship You'll be a trusted partner to your clients - not just a delivery contact. You'll lead steering committees, run executive business reviews, and have the kind of credibility that means clients call you first when something matters. You'll also identify opportunities to expand ACI's footprint within your accounts. Manage the commercial health of your portfolio You'll own the P&L for your delivery portfolio - tracking revenue recognition, utilisation, margin, and project financials. You'll review and approve Statements of Work and change orders, and contribute to pre-sales scoping and solutioning for new opportunities in the region. Drive operational discipline You'll be accountable for the operational hygiene that makes delivery predictable: RAG status reporting, resource management, timesheet compliance, and portfolio dashboards. You'll also champion adoption of PS tools, methodologies, and best practices across your team. Contribute to the PS organisation's growth You'll be an active member of the NA PS leadership team, contributing to regional and global initiatives - whether that's refining delivery methodology, embedding AI tooling, strengthening knowledge management, or helping shape the next generation of PS service offerings.   HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED In this role, you'll be evaluated against six outcomes: * Client satisfaction scores and executive relationship health across your account portfolio * On-time, on-budget delivery performance across your programme portfolio * PS revenue, utilisation, and margin targets for your accounts * Team retention, engagement, and capability development * Quality and completeness of delivery governance and reporting * Contribution to pipeline generation and pre-sales solutioning in partnership with Sales   WHAT YOU'LL BRING We're looking for six things: * 10+ years in professional services, technology delivery, or consulting - with at least 4 years leading teams that deliver complex software implementations for banking or financial services clients. * A track record of owning PS P&L and managing multi-million-dollar project portfolios, including SOW ownership, change control, and revenue accountability. * Proven ability to build and sustain executive-level client relationships - you can lead a steering committee, navigate a difficult conversation, and earn the kind of trust that keeps clients long-term. * Experience leading and developing delivery teams: hiring, coaching, managing performance, and creating a culture where people grow and stay. * Payments or financial technology domain knowledge - you understand the landscape, can speak credibly with banking clients about the problems they're solving, and can assess technical delivery risk without needing to be the expert in the room. * The judgement to operate independently: you'll be given real authority over your portfolio, and we need someone who uses it wisely - escalating when they should, deciding when they can, and always keeping the client's long-term relationship in view. Prior experience with ACI products is a genuine advantage. If you've worked in our product ecosystem before, you'll move faster. If not, we'll invest in getting you there.   WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE A role with real authority You'll own your portfolio - not just manage tasks for someone else. Real accountability, real decisions, real impact on how clients experience ACI. Clients who matter Your accounts will include some of North America's most significant banking institutions. The work is complex, consequential, and genuinely interesting. A team worth leading You'll inherit a capable team with room to grow. We invest in PS development and we'll back you in building the team you need to perform. A global peer group You'll work closely with the NA VP and peer Directors across regions. A leadership community that shares what works and builds together.   WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS ACI processes more than $14 trillion in payments every day. Professional Services is the function that makes those systems real - turning technology into working operations for banks whose clients depend on them. When PS delivery is excellent, clients invest more, stay longer, and trust ACI with their most critical programmes. The Director of Professional Services - North America Banking sits at the centre of that. This person doesn't just deliver projects - they build the credibility that makes long-term partnerships possible, develop the next generation of PS professionals, and contribute directly to the commercial health of one of ACI's most important regions. It's a role with genuine consequence. And we're looking for someone who holds that seriously.   Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visa status or work permit now or in the future. In return for your expertise, we offer opportunities for growth, career development, and a competitive compensation and benefits package—all within an innovative and collaborative work environment.
