Job Description Director, Site Operations for BU Yard is responsible for overseeing our subcontracted fixed erection and commissioning sites in Europe and managing customer sites globally. This position involves strategic accountability for the preparation, negotiation, and enforcement of subcontractor partner contracts, while vigilantly managing site budgets and schedules to ensure adherence and financial efficiency. Development of the operations in the fixed erection sites and extending those practices to customer sites will be essential part of the work. You will work closely with external partners, such as erection and installation subcontractors, manpower and supervisory suppliers, as well with internal stakeholders such as other supply functions, project management, logistics, HSE and quality functions. You will report to Director, Supply, BU Yard. Your key responsibilities Accountable for Yard Crane site operations, including crane commissioning, globally. Operations are carried out at fixed erection sites in Europe as well as at our customers’ sites. Ensure all site activities comply with safety and regulatory standards. Leadership for global commissioning team and the fixed erection sites in Europe Developing and leading a globally spread team of professionals to meet the current and expected business demand Lead negotiations and maintain strong relationships with subcontractor partners. Assume responsibility for the site contracts globally. Develop and enforce contracts with subcontractor partners, ensuring quality and timely project execution Together with the team of professionals, prepare comprehensive site work budgets and take accountability on budget adherence during execution Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless erection and commissioning processes. Proactively screen, prepare and maintain partner network for site works in Global scale as required by the business Implement best practices for resource allocation, site management, and operational efficiency. Drive the fixed site operations to “factory type” of operations; improving productivity, material management, production planning and KPIs in close cooperation with other supply operations functions Plan, develop and execute new Yard Crane site installation concepts Prepare and present regular reports on operations status, budget adherence, and strategic initiatives to senior management. Qualifications What we expect from You? Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse, cross-functional teams. Good communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills are essential in the role. Excellent negotiation abilities and experience in contract management. Good financial acumen and budget management. Strategic planning and execution Structured way of managing operations, ability to focus on the most essential, good problem-solving skills and result & development driven mindset. A solid background in the operations either at the factory operations or at the site operations for crane installations. Strong mindset for safety Fluent English, other language skills are a plus. Willingness to travel internationally and manage sites across different geographic locations. The position requires +50 days / year international business travel. Additional Information Why join us?
