Description

The Director, Sporting Strategy & Analytics will play a pivotal role in determining and executing the strategy and key projects across the Sporting side of the ATP Tour, focusing primarily across player and tournament engagement.
This position requires a strategic and results-oriented professional with the ability to translate high-level organizational goals into actionable outcomes. The Director is responsible for aligning Sporting objectives with ATP’s broader mission and vision, ensuring long-term growth, innovation and sustainability across the global tennis landscape.
With a connection across multiple departments within the Sporting Division, the Director will lead cross-functional initiatives, support long-term planning and foster strong relationships with both internal and external senior stakeholders.
The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Strategy & Analytics. The position is ideally based in London to optimize coordination and workflow with key stakeholders but will work remotely with teams based around the world.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated expertise in strategy consulting (including management consultancy or internal corporate strategy), investment banking, or professional services, with a strong track record of delivering impactful, high-level strategic insights and solutions.
  • Experience of managing projects end-to-end with a proven ability to lead teams and influence senior-level decision-making
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional projects with measurable impact
  • Advanced skillset in analysis and data consumption to provide solutions to challenging topics
  • Experience in the sports, media & entertainment sector is preferred. Familiarity with professional tennis and tour operations is advantageous
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment with changing priorities

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Established leader with the ability to set & drive long-term strategic direction and lead cross-functional teams
  • High proficiency in project management, able to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to distill large amounts of information into logical & succinct recommendations
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills. Comfortable working with legal documents
  • Strong financial and operational management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting and interrogating financial statements
  • Adept at quickly coming up to speed with new topic areas
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the overarching vision for Sporting Strategy & Analytics, ensuring alignment with ATP’s broader Sporting division goals
  • Partner with other members of the Sporting division to identify, develop and implement new strategies and initiatives
  • Lead and mentor direct reports and cross-functional teams across multiple departments
  • Serve as a key liaison with internal departments, external partners and global stakeholders
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of impactful presentations and reports to ATP leadership, the Board and other key stakeholders
  • Develop data analysis and financial modeling to drive data-driven decision making
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial performance of the department and key initiatives
