JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Director of Sterile Processing Informatics is a newly created position to ensure data integrity and consistent standardization from field sterile processing operations and systems. This position will contribute to the development of standards (HCA Sterile Processing playbook) in collaboration with PI, CSG and HealthTrust, and will ensure standards are consistently applied throughout the organization through development of reporting.
The Director of Sterile Processing Informatics (DSPI) requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional who possesses a strong technical and business acumen with a sharp analytical focus. The DSPI must interpret and understand the necessary metrics and information systems to ensure sustained operational excellence.
The DSPI will collaborate with ITG and other key stakeholders to ensure any and all data feeds from key information systems are timely processed, maintained, and are of the highest quality possible.
This position will collaborate with key corporate stakeholders to assist in the development of advanced capabilities (like predictive analytics).
A strong technical background, knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions and proficient use of Microsoft Office solutions is essential.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science/Analytics, Business, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field, or anticipated college graduation within 6 months; or demonstrated expertise in healthcare data and informatics management - Required
  • 10+ year(s) of experience as a data analyst or similar role in an acute-care setting. 5+ years of leadership experience - Required
  • Ability to proficiently operate technology (personal computers, smartphones, tablets, AV equipment, etc.) - Required
  • Proven experience with data reporting/visualization software (PowerBI, Tableau, Sisense, Fusion, Google Charts, Excel, etc.) - Required
  • Data Analyst Certification - Preferred
  • Microsoft Certification: PowerBI Data Analyst Associate - Preferred

  • Assists in the development of standard system metrics to support operations and regulatory compliance in Sterile Processing.
  • Performs Sterile Processing data analysis at the direction of key stakeholders.
  • Develops routine, ad hoc reports and summary presentations using a variety of tools including PowerBI, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Provides technical support for any developed or published Sterile Processing operations report.
  • Assists in identification and development of process improvement opportunities and/or recommendations through data analysis and review.
  • Ensures data integrity and maintenance in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensures that all data management practices comply with HCA/HealthTrust organizational policies and practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in the development of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Supports and contributes to the strategic plans for Sterile Processing operations.
  • Closely collaborates with a variety of key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fosters a culture of service excellence and teamwork.
  • Leverages various feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and identify opportunities for improved customer service.
