The Director of Strategic Program Delivery (Product Delivery) is a senior leader on the PMO team, responsible for driving the execution of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across the organization, with a strong focus on Product Delivery and Development. This role ensures strategic priorities are translated into clear, executable programs with measurable business outcomes. The Director leads a team of program managers dedicated to supporting Product-focused initiatives and serves as a key delivery partner to Product, Engineering, and business leaders. While this role does not own Product strategy, it is accountable for execution rigor, visibility, and outcomes, helping teams execute predictably and at scale. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Programs and Head of the PMO, this role will lead and oversee the product-focused portfolio of programs, ensuring initiatives are translated from strategy into executable plans with clear milestones, ownership, and measurable outcomes. Partner closely with the Product team, especially the Director of Product Operations to define and evolve ways of working between the PMO and Product organizations, ensuring strong alignment, clarity of roles, and effective execution. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to support roadmap execution, manage dependencies, and drive delivery alignment across teams. Manage the end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional programs by coordinating workstreams, monitoring progress, and proactively identifying and mitigating delivery risks. Provide clear, data-driven dashboards and executive reporting to deliver transparency into delivery health, risks, dependencies, and resourcing needs. Champion PMO standards, delivery frameworks, and change management practices to strengthen execution discipline and organizational delivery maturity. Surface risks, trade-offs, and execution challenges to senior leadership to support informed, timely decision-making. Directly manage and develop a team of high-performing program managers, setting expectations, coaching for impact, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery support for Product initiatives. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 15+ years of experience in program management within a SaaS or technology environment, leading complex, cross-functional programs with measurable business outcomes. People leadership experience required (typically 3+ years), which may include direct management, matrix leadership, or formal program/team leadership responsibilities. Advanced degrees and/or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP, PgMP) may be considered in lieu of some years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Program Management, or a related field; MBA preferred. PMP, PgMP preferred. Proven ability to drive execution, governance, and delivery discipline in matrixed environments without direct authority over all stakeholders. Experience working in Agile, Product Development, and/or SDLC-based delivery models. Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, partner effectively with senior Product and Engineering leaders, and lead high-performing teams.
