This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the IT (Information Technology) Services Sourcing Lead. This role is a critical leadership position and will own the end-to-end global IT Services Sourcing capability, supporting McDonald’s in its journey to becoming a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. Reporting to the Sr. Director, IT Sourcing Lead, the role is responsible for development of the global IT Services sourcing strategy, focused on maximizing McDonald’s investments via best-in-class sourcing across IT Consulting and IT Managed Services. It is expected that this role works closely with Global executive stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide recommendations and drive innovation to ultimately propel the business forward.Duties Key responsibilities will include setting the Sourcing team strategy, roadmap, goals and metrics, leading the team in developing and socializing strategic category plans, developing and managing relationships with key vendors, serving as an ambassador for the Indirect Sourcing & Procurement team, and identifying team training and growth opportunities to elevate best-in-class status. Key Responsibilities: Lead Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT Consulting, IT Hardware and Software, IT Managed Services and Restaurant Technology space, ensuring alignment with the broader business goals and objectives of McDonald’s and IS&P function Strategic Sourcing: Competitively source through engagement of strategic suppliers (i.e., RFx) and application of industry knowledge. Conduct market research, asses market conditions and identify potential suppliers along with delivering cost savings, adding value to business operation and mitigating third party risks. Ensure all sourcing projects have clear objectives including financial and operational benefits, aligned with business stakeholders Team Support & Development: Guide and mentor a high-performing sourcing team, setting clear goals, providing development opportunities, and fostering a culture of excellence. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to understand business needs and create tailored sourcing strategies that deliver value across the McDonald’s global organization. Category Leadership Support: Lead the development and execution of strategic category plans, identifying opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process optimization within the sub-categories. Oversee spend and contract analysis for relevant categories and assess opportunities Savings Identification & Tracking: Accountable for driving annual savings within the category through leveraging market intelligence analysis. Includes the identification of savings opportunities & valuation and ongoing monitoring / reporting of saving initiatives against target Negotiation & Contract Management: Support negotiations to ensure favorable contract terms that meet business requirements and assist with the execution of complex agreements and SLAs. Partner with legal to negotiate contract to optimize cost and quality Drive Innovation: Contribute to sourcing initiatives that drive innovation, cost savings, and operational efficiency in line with the company's broader business strategies. Risk & Compliance Management: Partner with Enterprise teams to ensure sourcing strategies and supplier relationships align with McDonald’s compliance requirements and risk management frameworks. Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement efforts, evaluating sourcing processes, performance metrics, and benchmarks to optimize sourcing outcomes. Performance Motivation: Assist in identifying training needs and growth opportunities within the team, ensuring the development of future sourcing leaders and building a best-in-class function.
