Knowledge Management

  • Develops the necessary systems, processes and tools to better support the facilitation, collection and sharing of data and knowledge that is generated by Programs.
  • Ensures that key project outcomes, policy, advocacy and legislation are evaluated and leveraged for maximum community and organisational impact
Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Program Development

  • Consolidating best practices, feedback from stakeholders and in partnership with clients and the community to design and continuously improve programs that address emerging community needs.
  • Liaising with partners, government, OHTs to ensure the effective coordination of programs and support improved system integrations to achieve enhanced client outcomes
  • Ensuring strategic growth through forming of new partnerships or expanding current programs and procurement of government grants and contracts.
  • Builds on best practices and feedback from stakeholders to identify options and opportunities to address emerging community needs.

Operations Oversight and Service Delivery

  • Effectively carries out the management functions for all current programs demonstrating consistent quality of financial administration, program monitoring and evaluation, communications, time and resources to achieve program goals.
  • Works with staff to develop processes that ensure delivery of consistent, high quality wraparound services—housing stability, case management, health supports, life skills, etc.
  • Ensures the day-to-day operations of the programs are consistent with any legislation or agreement governing the unit.
  • Ensures the effective utilizations of staff, volunteers, and students throughout the programs while also ensuring a platform of support, training and appropriate professional development.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, property, tenancy, hoarding, eviction, etc.
  • Ensures the anti‑racism objectives and the community development principles of the organization are achieved within the units.
  • Develop and document program protocols, policies, safety procedures, and evaluation frameworks in line with organizational standards, relevant legislation, property agreements and housing standards.

Knowledge Management

  • Develops the necessary systems, processes and tools to better support the facilitation, collection and sharing of data and knowledge that is generated by Programs.
  • Ensures that key project outcomes, policy, advocacy and legislation are evaluated and leveraged for maximum community and organisational impact.

External Relationships

  • Represents WoodGreen at several tables on matters relating to systems planning and implementation, coordination and funding related to Supportive Housing and supports for individuals at risk or experiencing chronic homelessness.
  • Build and strengthen internal & external partnerships, including government, funders, and nonprofit networks.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Housing or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • This position 5+ years of management experience in a related field.
  • Experience managing unionized teams is an asset.
