Job Description
In this role, you will lead the BA sustainability initiatives in the Business Area Port Solutions. As such, you will support our business worldwide and ensure that our Sustainability goals are integrated into our business strategies and roadmaps, as well as embedded in our processes to ensure that our solutions and services are eco-efficient and our ways of working and operations are socially responsible and compliant with the sustainability regulations.
You will work in close collaboration with the Group Sustainability team driving the Konecranes sustainability ambitions, strategy and practices.
You will report to the SVP, Strategy and Business Processes, BA Port Solutions, and will also be part of the Group sustainability teams (dotted line).
The location of the position is flexible in Europe and can be in any major country of Konecranes.

• Ensure that, as a business, we create future-proof and compliant products, services, and solutions by facilitating and coordinating idea sharing for eco-optimized and circular solutions and business models.
• Lead, plan, and drive sustainability awareness and agenda across the BA and ensure sustainability best practices are embedded into our processes, ensuring alignment with group-level ESG goals.
• Coordinate product-specific environmental data collection and analyse the environmental performance of our offering.
• Support service, sales and marketing teams meet customer demands and ensure our green claims are based on facts
• Ensure sustainability requirements are embedded in the procurement decisions.
• Oversee, review, and develop sustainability frameworks in compliance with Konecranes policies, procedures, and processes, and support the organization to comply with legislations.
• Active role in establishing, reviewing and analyzing sustainability KPI’s, based on KC global goals and Core Value Drivers, encouraging high performance
• Monitor and analyse performance, and together with the organization identify improvement opportunities. Monitor and interpret evolving EU and global regulations affecting port operations, automation, digital systems, and sustainability (e.g., Fit for 55, battery regulation, CBAM and local supply chain due diligence topics) in cooperation with the group teams
• Actively communicate with stakeholders and business partners.
• Follow business-specific emerging sustainability trends and legislation. Provide thought leadership and challenge thinking and practices to raise awareness.
• Integrate environmental considerations into design, sourcing, operations, and customer offerings.
• Promote a culture of sustainability and ethical compliance.
