The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Sustainability Advisor to join our National Sustainability team. In this senior role, you’ll lead sustainability input, advice, and expertise across major infrastructure projects—including water, rail, and road—as well as global Net Zero initiatives and defence projects. You’ll work closely with project teams to embed sustainability strategies from design through construction, delivering frameworks, management plans, and innovative solutions that leave a lasting legacy. What You’ll Do Lead sustainability strategies and provide technical advice on complex, large-scale projects. Drive adoption of sustainability initiatives during design and construction phases. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver positive environmental and community outcomes. Manage project planning, cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, and client reporting. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders. Mentor and guide junior consultants while advising senior management. Contribute to business development through proposals, budgets, and stakeholder engagement. Who You Are You’re a seasoned sustainability professional with a proven track record in infrastructure projects. You thrive on collaboration, leadership, and innovation, and you’re motivated by the success of your team. You bring integrity, accountability, and strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver results. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental engineering, or similar. Extensive experience in sustainability consulting within the infrastructure sector. Familiarity with Green Star or ISC rating tools (highly regarded). Strong stakeholder management and business development experience. Ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and deadlines.
