Description
About Wider Circle Wider Circle is a mission-driven healthcare organization working to improve health outcomes for older adults and complex populations by addressing social and clinical barriers to care. Through trusted relationships and community-based support, we partner with health plans and local organizations to help members navigate healthcare, stay engaged in care, and live healthier lives. About the Role We’re entering a phase of rapid headcount growth. As our first Director-level leader of Talent Acquisition, you will take our recruiting function to the next level across all business lines and support functions. You will drive that improvement through hiring and developing the right people, building the right sourcing infrastructure, and keeping our Talent Acquisition machine running without sacrificing quality or candidate experience. You will grow, manage and develop our team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, leveraging both employee hires and 1099 recruiters to scale. Build a team culture of urgency, accountability, and care for the candidate experience. You will be more than a recruiting operator — you are a steward of Wider Circle’s culture and a gatekeeper of its talent standards. You hold the bar on who we hire, even when the pipeline is thin, and the pressure to fill is high. You will be a builder and defender of our employer brand. You can take Wider Circle’s “Love, Learn, Grow” ethos and translate it into compelling candidate narratives, sourcing pitches, and content that make people want to join — and stay. What You’ll Own Recruiting Operations & Quality -Lead day-to-day recruiting execution across all hiring tracks, ensuring process integrity through interview quality audits, 100% scorecard completion, and consistent candidate and hiring manager experience standards. Set individual targets, run daily team huddles, weekly pipeline reviews, and coach toward consistent monthly output. Pipeline Performance & Metrics - Own Time to Fill (TTF) reporting and accountability — establishing credible benchmarks by role, hitting TTF goals for 80%+ of roles, and maintaining candidate satisfaction rates that reflect a best-in-class candidate experience. Strategic Sourcing & Community Partnerships - Build a sustainable Community Health Worker (CHW) talent pipeline by mapping the competitive landscape and developing sourcing strategies that make Wider Circle an employer of choice. Role Clarity & Market Competitiveness - Partner with business leaders to keep job descriptions fresh and develop compelling sourcing pitches — ensuring Wider Circle stands out on both the "why" and the "what" in our candidate communication. Operational Alignment - Drive clean process and people hand-offs between TA, L&D, IT, Finance and the business. Build and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, directors and VPs who are the stakeholders of the Talent Acquisition team’s work. What You Bring You have 7-10 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 3 years of team leadership and at least 3 years in healthcare, human services, or community health settings. Specifically, you’ve: Led a high-volume recruiting team that sustained 100+ hires per month over an extended period, and preferably led the team through a period of rapid growth. Recruited Community Health Workers, frontline healthcare workers, or allied health professionals — and you understand what makes them accept an offer. Managed a team of recruiters, including 1099 or contract recruiters, and know how to drive accountability without micromanaging. Built sourcing infrastructure, playbooks, and dashboards from scratch — not inherited them. Communicated clearly and directly with leadership, even when the news is a pipeline risk or a missed target. You are also: An Indeed power user who understands how to write, test, and optimize job postings for hourly and professional roles in competitive markets. A systems thinker who tracks leading indicators and fixes process problems before they become volume problems. Mission-driven. Wider Circle’s work sits at the intersection of community, health equity, and social care — this should excite you, not just interest you. Nice to Have Recruiting experience across 50 states Familiarity with the community health workforce landscape. Experience with the Workable ATS platform Experience in a start-up environment scaling a TA function during a period of rapid company growth (doubling or tripling headcount). Background in managing CHW, physician or clinical recruiter networks. What Wider Circle Offers Base pay range of $115,000-$130,000 Annual incentive bonus Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan Generous paid time off, including your birthday off and 9 company holidays Remote-first culture with periodic travel to our growth markets The chance to build something that matters — and to see the direct impact of your work on communities across the country
