ABOUT US

The Canadian Animal Task Force (CATF) is a dynamic, grassroots, volunteer-driven non-profit providing animal care programs and services for companion animals. Our Vision is simple but powerful: Humans and companion animals live in harmony in communities where compassion, respect and kindness guide their actions.
By improving the health and well-being of animals, we are strengthening communities and making lives better for both animals and people. Founded in Calgary, Alberta in 2007, CATF operates with a small team of paid staff and a large, dedicated network of volunteers. Our programs are delivered by compassionate teams of licensed veterinarians, technologists, and public volunteers across Alberta.
To fulfill our mission, we need the best people doing their best work. If that sounds like you, let’s talk.

Specifically, this board position will guide the new Task Force Animal Hospital (TFAH) — CATF’s only business initiative — through continued growth and operational evolution.
This position is distinct from our Treasurer, who oversees the overall financial health of the organization. The Task Force Animal Hospital Business Strategy and Financial Oversight board member will work closely with the Treasurer, Executive Director and staff accountant but focus on the Task Force Animal Hospital) and the strategic direction of the veterinary clinic. The TFAH currently serves marginalized owners and animal welfare organizations.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact community work while applying your business acumen to support a mission driven organization. Veterinary clinic experience is not required. What matters most is your strategic thinking, financial fluency, and commitment to meaningful community work.
