Financial & Program Management Leadership

  • Direct the development and execution of comprehensive program management plans for large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, effective budgeting, and robust risk management.
  • Apply advanced financial modelling and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate complex technology investments, guide executive decision-making, and shape overall group strategy.
  • Partner with Finance, Corporate Strategy, and M&A teams to integrate financial insights into technology roadmaps, budget processes, and deal structures.

Strategic Technology Assessments

  • Lead and oversee detailed technology strategy projects (including financial, functional, and operating model analyses) across various domains, such as fixed, mobile, non-terrestrial networks, IT landscapes, and digital systems.
  • Provide structured guidance on network investment strategy, through engaging with subject matter experts to refine technical and commercial approaches.
  • Work closely with the Ventures and Innovations teams to plan and drive trials and proofs-of-concept, influencing investment decisions and market adoption.

Shareholder Oversight & Governance

  • Provide governance and oversight of the technology estate for Liberty Global Affiliates, Joint Ventures, and Ventures, informing critical investment decisions.
  • Support annual budget planning, long-range financial forecasting, and cross-functional cost reviews for Liberty Global’s technology estate.
  • Conduct techno-economic analyses to support and structure strategic procurement re-negotiations with key suppliers.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Recruit, manage, and mentor external consultants and subject matter experts in technology and corporate strategy assessments, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Coach and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, building strong relationships with executive leadership, affiliate teams, and external partners.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving

  • Skilled at synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable strategies with measurable outcomes.
  • Capable of balancing the needs of multiple affiliate countries, partners, and commercial relationships while maintaining focus on corporate goals.
  • Able to prioritize competing business demands based on strategic importance and financial impact.

Technology Strategy Expertise

  • Experience in technology strategy within an operator, supplier, or consulting environment.
  • Capable of developing in-depth expertise in core technical domains (e.g., DOCSIS/XGSPON fixed access, mobile/5G networks, telecom infrastructure, data center / cloud, or telco IT).
  • Proven ability to apply technical knowledge and analytical frameworks to assess technologies, delivery and operational model implications.

Financial Acumen & Program Management

  • Demonstrated success in advanced financial modelling, ROI analysis, budgeting, and business case development.
  • Experience structuring and delivering large-scale, complex programs within scope and on budget, ideally involving M&A or technology transformations.
  • Comfortable presenting financial and strategic recommendations at the Executive Committee and Board levels.
