Position Overview:
The Director of User Experience is responsible for the user-facing components (user interface) of Internally developed applications. Part of the IT Product Management team, the Director of User Experience will partner with our product managers as well as the software delivery, quality assurance and security teams to design and implement software products that are intuitive, efficient and perform to help make SiteOne a great place to work.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of UX designers in support of SiteOne’s internally developed applications
  • Ensure that all user-facing software is intuitive, efficient and responsive
  • Work with product managers and business analysts in support of multiple technology verticals
  • Meet regularly with business stakeholders and users to identify UI priorities, pain points and opportunities
  • Thoroughly understand and document SiteOne business practices and IT system touchpoints
  • Develop UI standards and patterns to ensure consistency between applications
  • Design UI mocks for new functionality to obtain buy-in from business stakeholders and users prior to development
  • Perform functional demos using mocks or live systems to demonstrate the intended user flow for new functionality and applications
  • Build and lead product advisory groups with representation across all lines of business and regions
  • cross-train operational partners to facilitate the creation of training materials and SOPs
  • Create and implement user experience (UX) design standards across all products
  • Track adoption and utilization of products and features
  • Assist in the creation of training materials, products tips and feature announcements

Skills We Are Seeking::

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15+ years’ experience in IT, with a focus on software delivery
  • Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
