WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Required Experience: 7+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the animal health or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of financial leadership and strategic business partnership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Finance leadership within a publicly traded company
  • Strong understanding of financial systems: SAP S4 Hana / BPC financial systems, OneStream, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE:

This position is part of the US Commercial Finance organization and will support a range of financial activities for the enterprise. Specifically, the role requires an experienced financial leader combining strong financial modeling skills with excellent commercial business partnership, experience with S4 / BPC systems, and a thorough understanding of corporate management reporting, including planning, forecasting and reporting processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and oversee financial strategies for the US Veterinary segment, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor performance, and economic factors to inform financial planning.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancement, simplification, and standardization.
  • Increase commercial acumen of Commercial partners by delivering timely, accurate financial insights. Develop strong relationships throughout the commercial enterprise.
  • Support all planning, forecasting, and reporting activities for the US Vet Commercial organization (Strategic Account, Distribution, and Independent Clinics):
  • Support monthly closing process and ensure adherence to financial and accounting policies
  • Support financial planning and forecasting process (e.g., Strategic Plan, Business Plan, Quarterly Forecasts) to ensure a timely, high-quality submission
  • Model contracts, gross-to-net programs, and other financial scenarios to support commercial business decisions
  • Drive ad-hoc business cases and projects which have enterprise impact
  • Key Activities Include: Strategic Financial Modeling (Sales & Gross-to-Net), Monthly Sales Reporting, Margin / Profitability Analysis, OPEX Management, F-Cycle Leadership
  • Support Senior Director, Vet Finance in preparation of financial reviews with Corporate Finance team + Commercial Business Partners
  • Partner with the analytics group to continuously improve organization’s analytics capability with standardized / automated / efficient reporting
  • Support process improvement and automation through the effective use of the financial reporting suite of tools – drive best practice and standardization across the organization
