QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years in warehouse operations or logistics management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in food distribution or grocery retail is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of OH & S legislation.
  • Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems such as Katana, Shopify, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of supply and demand dynamics, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Passionate about the Regina Food Bank’s mission and capable of effectively promoting and communicating its values and philosophy to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Strategic/Critical Thinking: Develop and implement long-term plans, identify opportunities, adapt to change, and create practical solutions to challenges.
  • Client Focus: Committed to meeting client needs by anticipating expectations, enhancing services, and building strong relationships with stakeholders, including vendors and partner agencies.
  • Logistics Management: Ensuring the efficient flow of food through the warehouse, coordinating inventory, and optimizing distribution processes. This includes deploying the warehouse workforce and volunteers effectively to meet daily demands.
  • Inventory Management: Lead the movement of high-volume products, leveraging strong proficiency in inventory management software systems. Apply business knowledge and an understanding of supply and demand to develop and improve internal inventory processes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze data from inventory management software systems to improve inventory management and operational performance. Provide clear and accurate reports on logistics and operations, ensuring stakeholders are informed and decision-making is supported.
  • Compliance and Quality Management: Work with the Compliance Lead to maintain and monitor safety, food safety, and industrial health through continuous quality improvement. Ensure all activities align with and uphold the mission and values of the Regina Food Bank.
