Overview Location: Within UnityPoint Health footprint- IA, IL or WI The Director of Workplace Services is a strategic IT leader responsible for driving the enterprise vision for Field Services, Access Management, and Help Desk operations to support clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. This role leads modernization initiatives, ensures secure and compliant technology operations, and oversees performance of the IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). Responsibilities Define and execute the organization’s technology roadmap and budget, aligning investments with enterprise goals and digital‑transformation strategies Drive cloud adoption, hybrid‑infrastructure modernization, and IT service‑management best practices to enhance scalability, reliability, and efficiency Partner with executive, clinical, business, facilities, and security leaders to integrate technology into core operations and strategic initiatives Lead enterprise Field Services, Access Management, and Help Desk platforms while ensuring strong cybersecurity, HIPAA compliance, and protection of patient information Oversee MSP governance, including SLAs, KPIs, compliance, escalation pathways, performance tracking, and service‑quality validation Direct the Service Delivery Management team, ensuring timely issue resolution, operational excellence, and adherence to service‑management standards Conduct technology due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and maintain relationships with vendors, consultants, and industry partners to leverage best practices Optimize costs through strategic sourcing, prioritization frameworks, and resource allocation while identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency Build, mentor, and develop high‑performing leaders and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and change readiness Communicate organizational goals, lead planning and evaluation activities, resolve team issues, and support succession planning and talent development across IT Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a similar field is required Equivalent education and work experience will be accepted only if previous experience applies to specific systems Experience: At least ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare is required Three (3) or more years of experience working with a (MSP) Managed Service Provider is preferred
