ABOUT THE ROLE

BissyCare is seeking a Disabilities Service Officer to join its team to deliver the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans tailored to the specific needs of residents.
  • Assessing community requirements for health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other services.
  • Monitoring and reporting on residents’ physical and emotional health, ensuring any concerns were promptly addressed with relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Assessing community requirements for health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other services.
  • Engaging with families, welfare agencies, government organisations, and private businesses to identify and address pressing community issues.
  • Building strong partnerships to ensure a coordinated approach to community support.
  • Raising awareness about the resources and services available to individuals and families within the community.
  • Ensuring that stakeholders are informed about how to access these resources effectively.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum Diploma in Community Services, Individual Support, Mental Health or related subject.
  • Experience with mental health & behavior is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use technology.
  • Passionate about helping people.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Must have desire and commitment to ongoing learning, including the need to gain more knowledge and skills to improve their practice.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Pay: $72,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
