We are looking for Disabilities Services Officer who can work within a dynamic and high performing environment.
Key duties will include but not limited to:
- Provide essential support and care to individuals residing in residential care facilities by ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents while promoting independence and dignity.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing according to their individual needs and preferences.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to residents, fostering a positive and supportive living environment.
- Help residents with mobility issues to move around safely, utilizing mobility aids as necessary, and implementing fall prevention strategies.
- Medication support ensuring correct dosages as prescribed, emergency medical first aid (including resuscitation), seizure response and invasive personal cares and health needs.
- Monitor client progress, prepare detailed reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with community groups, welfare organizations, and government agencies to address client needs and raise awareness of available resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with industry standards.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in community services or a similar field.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to residential care services.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of individuals with disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $72,000.00 – $76,600.00 per year
