ABOUT YOU

We are looking for Support Workers to be reliable, committed, and empathetic individuals to provide quality care. Your knowledge of the disability sector is extensive. Genuine interest in helping others. Comprehends rapidly about the needs of participants, creative, enthusiastic, emotional stability, with the following responsibilities:

  • Understanding of confidentiality within the Disability Sector
  • Reporting and recording relevant documentation for NDIS standard.

Knowledge of and awareness of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

  • Understanding of Client Incident Management.
  • Hoist Transfer knowledge is a must
  • Enjoys cooking
  • Experience in various outdoor pursuits and activities.
  • A practical understanding of hygiene assistance and commitment of care.
  • Enjoyment in social activities and one-on-one engagement.
  • Understanding of physical limitations and having a safe sensible approach
  • Possess a high level of trust, honesty, and integrity and am able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants.
  • Self-motivator and a team player.
  • A can-do attitude and genuine interest in helping others.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills - able to manage your time and support clients to do the same in an everyday capacity.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently looking for a Casual Support Workers who can join our awesome team. Who can start IMMEDIATELY. Candidate must be Willing to accept short shifts as well.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide in-home support to participants with health issues and daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, shower, grooming, meal preparation, transport arrangement, shopping assistance, cooking (or as per client request), community participation, social activities.
  • Assisting the client on One on One in-home.
  • Assisting client with domestic duties.
  • Assistance in building client self-image and self-confidence.
  • Assist in developing and implementing client-specific programs to help these individuals build strong social skills and encourage independence whenever possible.
