As our Disability and Inclusion Advisor you will contribute to a timely and student-centred specialist advice and guidance service to applicants and disabled students, inclusive of Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs), short to long-term health and mental health conditions, to enable them to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

As a Disability and Inclusion Advisor at The University of Law, you will be:

  • Providing timely and student-centred advice, support and guidance to disabled students and those with Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs), short to long-term health and mental health conditions, from the point of application through to graduation.
  • Advising prospective disabled students on accessibility issues and the support available to them whilst at the University of Law, including through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).
  • Maintaining a caseload, providing continuing support for applicants and students, including case reviews and updates to provision, liaison with Disability Liaison Officers (DLOs), academic and business professional colleagues.
  • Working collaboratively with members of the Disability and Inclusion Service team, wider Student Support Services team and other colleagues to promote inclusivity and the continual development of services and support for disabled students at the University of Law
  • Supporting the promotion of the University as an inclusive environment by representing the Disability and Inclusion Service at University Open Days and other events as required.
