Hourly Rate: $38 – $46 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Due to continued organisational growth, we are seeking dedicated and experienced Disability and Mental Health Support Workers to join our expanding team. This role offers approximately 25+ hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time employment.

The Role

As a Support Worker with Mindset Intervention, you will provide individualised, community-based and in-home support aligned with each participant’s NDIS goals. Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene
• Domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, etc.)
• Everyday tasks such as budgeting, shopping, and meal preparation
• Supporting participants to attend appointments and community activities
• Implementing behaviour support plans and working toward participant goals
• Transporting participants safely to and from activities
• Medication prompting
• Completing session reports and maintaining accurate documentation
• Collaborating with team members to ensure continuity of care
• Adhering to organisational policies and procedures
• Participating in sleepover shifts as required

Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)
• COVID-19 Infection Control Training (or willingness to obtain)
• COVID-19 Aged Care PPE Module 5 (or willingness to obtain)
• Paid Blue Card (if required)
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Certificate III in Disability or Mental Health (or willingness to obtain)
• Smartphone with data access
• Flexible availability (including weekends and evenings)
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional manner
