The role of the Disability Support Worker is pivotal in the SIL services provided by Ability Spectrum. Disability Support Workers play a central part in ensuring that an environment of safety and potential for growth is provided to all clients.
The role of Disability Support Worker is primarily to assist clients through the use of goals, plans and programmatic approaches, to overcome difficulties and progress towards a successful future. This includes Disability Support Workers engaging with clients, within a team of support workers, with management and the larger stakeholder group that supports the client.
