JOB DESCRIPTION

Disability Support Workers provide assistance to a person with a disability with everyday tasks that a person without a disability would be doing for themselves and may include, and not be limited to, the following activities:
PERSONAL CARE- Manual Handling; Showering; Toileting; Grooming; Excercise, communication, personal development
MEAL ASSISTANCE - Meal preparation or assist clients in making their own meals.
COMMUNITY ACCESS - Recreational and social activities includes shopping and accompanying clients to doctor’s appointment
HOUSEKEEPING - doing domestic responsibilities such as housekeeping and sanitation.
ADMIN MEDICATION - assisting clients on their medication.
Disability Support Workers will record case notes that detail progress against PCP goals following each shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must have at least a* year of experience handling clients with intellectual disability and hearing disability. *
• Candidates must be proficient in communicating using Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN)
