POSITION SUMMARY:

Aussie Life Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at one of our SIL Houses. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support is desirable
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current driver’s licence, car registration and comprehensive car insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Medication administration certificate
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • NDIS Infection Control Module
  • Commitment to providing exceptional support
  • Great communication skills
  • Manual handling skills
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide daily support and assistance to residents in their day-to-day activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes independence and social interaction.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
  • Assist residents in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including allied health professionals, to ensure the holistic well-being of residents.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming living environment.
