Qualifications & experience

  • Worker Screening check.
  • All required background checks must be completed before commencing work.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Police check (no more than 1 year old).
  • Police check must be accepted if no more than 18 months old.
  • Police check must be no more than 18 months old.
  • Own, reliable vehicle.
  • Own reliable vehicle suitable for client transport with current registration and comprehensive insurance
  • Drivers license.
  • Patience, empathy and a desire to understand the people you are supporting.
  • Certificate 3 in Individual support and advantage but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with people with
  • Experience working with people with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or autism spectrum disorder
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with people with disabilities is required.
  • Comprehensive Motor Insurance for your vehicle
  • Be willing to undertake work in the community
  • Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module must be completed before applying for this position.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module must be completed before starting work.
  • Experience with mental health a benefit but not mandatory
  • Experience with bowel care, catheter care and hoisting highly regarded.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification
  • First Aid certification must be current and held before commencing employment.
  • Applicants must be permanent residents of Australia.


Tasks & responsibilities

  • Working with young people with ASD, assisting them in navigating the community and attending events.
  • Supporting people with community access, appointments, hobbies, and exercise activities (hiking, bush walking, going to parks, picnics, and community centres).
  • Supporting participants with personal care and assisting them in developing life skills and organisation.
  • Mentoring and working with people with executive function and sensory challenges.
  • Assisting clients with a range of personal care, hygiene and domestic duties.
  • Assisting with Transfers/hoisting between the toilet, bed, motor vehicles, etc.
  • Helping people build Genuine connections.
  • Assist participants in accessing and participating in hobbies and community events.
