ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Male support worker (as per participant’s request)
  • Minimum 6–12 months experience working with children or young people with disability, preferably with epilepsy and/or behavioural concerns
  • Current First Aid & CPR (including epilepsy and seizure management training preferred)
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed care plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced male disability support worker to provide one-on-one support to a 13-year-old boy living with epilepsy and behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with children or young people with complex needs, including positive behaviour support strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide personal care and daily living assistance
  • Implement and follow behaviour support plans
  • Monitor and respond to seizure activity as per care protocols
  • Engage the participant in age-appropriate activities
  • Support community access and social participation
  • Maintain clear and professional documentation of progress and incidents
