About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred care and support to individuals with a disability across a range of settings – in their homes, the community, and during recreational or day programs. You’ll help with daily living, build life skills, and empower people to live life on their own terms.
Location

Our clients are based in the following suburbs:

  • Truganina * Tarneit * Hoppers Crossing * Brunswick * Epping * Lalor * Preston * Doreen * Beveridge

Staff should be flexible and willing to travel between these locations throughout the week.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals with disabilities within their home environment. * Assist clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support. * Support clients with domestic tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry to maintain a safe and clean-living space. * Encourage and promote the client’s independence, dignity, and personal choice in accordance with individual care plans. * Assist with the safe administration of medication and monitor clients’ general health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly. * Facilitate participation in community and recreational activities, including accompanying clients to appointments or social engagements as required. * Ensure accurate documentation of services provided, including progress notes and incident reporting, in accordance with privacy and confidentiality policies. * Adhere to workplace health and safety standards and follow all organisational procedures and client care plans. * Collaborate effectively with families, carers, health professionals, and other service providers to ensure holistic, person-centred care.

What You’ll Need
✅ Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or similar (or currently studying Nursing)✅ Current First Aid & CPR certification✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check and valid Police Check✅ Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle✅ COVID-19 vaccinations (as per government regulations)✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills✅ A respectful, empathetic, and client-focused approach
