What makes a great Sunflower support worker

  • Reliable. You show up on time, every time. People are counting on you.
  • Respectful. You support people’s choices, not your own idea of what’s best for them.
  • Hands-on. You’re comfortable with all parts of the role, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and getting out into the community. You do it with dignity, and nothing’s “not my job.”
  • Independent. You can read a situation and make good calls on your own.
  • A good communicator. You keep notes clear and tell us early when something’s not right.
  • Professional. You know where the boundaries are and you keep them

Benefits

  • Free GP appointments and psychologist sessions through our Employee Assistance Program
  • A crew where the Director knows your name, and you can call for a chat.
  • Training and development
  • Staff events and a supportive team
  • A neurodiversity-informed workplace
