ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for casual Disability Support Workers, to work as part of our team in our group homes. We welcome individuals who are passionate about making a difference and are eager to learn and grow in the role.
You will be providing active support & engaging with residents, who have complex support needs & behaviours of concern. Experience and care managing behaviours of concern and an interest in mental health is preferred please. Requirements of the role may include manual handling, participate in daily transport runs, taking residents out for community participation and general daily activities
FLEXIBILITY AND AVAILABILITY ARE VITAL IN THIS ROLE. SHIFTS MAY BE OFFERED AT SHORT NOTICE AND CAN COMMENCE AS EARLY AS 6AM AND FINISH AS LATE AS 11PM. SHIFTS ARE AVAILABLE IN BAYSIDE AND SURROUNDING SUBURBS, EASTERN, AND NORTHERN METROPOLITAN MELBOURNE. SHIFT LENGTHS WILL VARY FROM 3.5 HOURS TO LONGER DURATIONS. APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO WORK A VARIETY OF SHIFTS, INCLUDING 3.5 HOUR SHIFTS STARTING BETWEEN 6 AM AND 7 AM..
