We are seeking compassionate and reliable NDIS Disability Support Staff to join our team .As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently and achieve their goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent within Australia IS A MUST
  • 1+ year of work experience within the NDIS Sector. (excluding placements)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Current NDIS screening check and WWCC.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards people with disabilities.
  • Honest, reliable, and committed to work unsupervised in 1:1 environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in disability support is highly regarded.
  • Clean Updated Police Certificate
  • Verifiable work referees
  • Must possess valid ABN.
  • Immediate start would be ideal.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Heart to Heart Disability is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader and Support Workers (Disability Sector) to join their organization in Sydney. This role will involve leading and supporting a team of disability support workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Work with aggressive and complex clients .
  • Provide supervision, coaching and mentoring to support workers to develop their skills and deliver excellent client care.
  • Liaise with clients, their families and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure service delivery is meeting their expectations
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and best practices within the disability services team
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance service delivery
  • Foster a positive team culture and promote a safe, inclusive and collaborative work environment. Provide physical assistance as required. This may include:
    a. Assistance with meals
    b. Assistance with toileting
    c. Transfers/hoisting between toilet, wheelchair, motor vehicle, etc
    d. Medical/special procedures where required
    e. Administering medication where required
    f. Physical assistance to participate in activities
    g. Housekeeping duties
