We’re looking for compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Disability Support Workers to join our passionate team—specifically for sleepover shifts—providing psychosocial support to people living with psychosocial disability and/or complex needs.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Disability Support Worker for people living with psychosocial disability, you will:

  • Provide overnight (sleepover) support to NDIS participants with complex psychosocial and behavioral support needs, ensuring a safe and reassuring presence throughout the night.
  • Support participants in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment, fostering personal growth and promoting independence.
  • Provide assistance as needed during the night, including personal care, emotional reassurance, or responding to incidents in line with individual support plans.
  • Ensure a smooth handover between day and night staff, and document any significant observations or events during the shift.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with participants, ensuring their dignity and safety at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Overnight monitoring and low-demand support
  • Personal care or assistance if needed during the night
  • Light domestic duties as required (before or after sleepover period)
  • Accurate documentation and reporting
  • Maintaining a calm, safe, and reassuring environment
