Casual Male Disability Support Worker – Gosford

Confident Health Care Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Male Disability Support Worker to support an NDIS participant in the Gosford area.

Employment: CasualShifts: Split shifts – approximately 3 hours morning and 3 hours afternoon/evening

About the Role

The role includes:

• In-home and community-based support
• Supporting medical and other appointments
• Community access and daily living support
• Cooking and meal preparation
• Domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry
• Medication support in line with relevant plans and procedures
• Following behaviour support and other support plans
• Using appropriate de-escalation strategies
• Identifying early changes in behaviour, mood or presentation
• Reporting concerns, behavioural changes and incidents promptly
• Completing accurate progress notes and documentation

Requirements

• Male support worker
• Previous NDIS/disability support experience
• Experience with psychosocial disability and complex mental health needs
• Strong de-escalation and behaviour-support skills
• Ability to recognise early warning signs of behavioural escalation
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Certificate III/IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health or similar
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
