Description

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Extensive UK-based experience working with individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviour – no exceptions.
  • Strong understanding of PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) or equivalent frameworks.
  • Confidence with de-escalation techniques, safeguarding protocols, and not taking things personally when someone throws a cushion at you.
  • Emotionally resilient, dependable, and genuinely passionate about making a difference.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to get one faster than you can say “crisis support plan”).
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you have nerves of steel, a heart of gold, and the reflexes of a ninja? Can you stay calm under pressure, de-escalate chaos with a single sentence, and still remember to laugh? Then you sound like the Support Worker of our dreams.
We’re looking for experienced, skilled, unshakable Support Workers to join our Complex Care team — working with individuals who present challenging behaviour and need consistency, compassion, and someone who truly gets it.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Providing 1:1 or 2:1 support to clients with complex needs (think: behaviour that challenges even the most seasoned pros).
  • Helping individuals with daily living, personal care, medication, and emotional regulation — sometimes all in one morning.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies (not your average “have you tried deep breaths?” stuff).
  • Recording incidents professionally and accurately – yes, you will become a qualified detective in no time.
  • Being a consistent, calm, and positive presence in someone’s life — because you might be their anchor on a stormy day.
