Looking for a career change or a supportive pathway into Disability Services? Cootharinga is seeking passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in Cairns!
We are currently filling short shift vacancies (2–4 hours) and short notice cover shifts – perfect if you’re flexible, reliable, and want meaningful work that fits around your lifestyle.

You’ll support customers to live independently and confidently by assisting with a variety of daily activities, which may include:

• Personal Care (with full training & buddy shifts provided)
• Manual Handling and Transport Assistance
• Social Support & Community Inclusion
• Meal Preparation and Domestic Assistance
• Accurate Record Keeping

Shifts are generally short (2–4 hrs) and varied. You may also be offered last‑minute fill‑in opportunities and additional hours depending on availability. This role can lead to an increase of working hours and Permanent Part-Time positions for the right candidates.
