Full-time/Part-time Casual Position: Casual

Job Description: Support Worker. We are currently looking for a Disability Support Worker who has experience working with children. This role focuses on supporting clients to participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks including employment, in home support and community access. The support worker must enjoy being active and healthy, someone who has a dynamic and engaging personality—someone who can build a strong rapport, provide consistent support, and encourage the client’s independence and social participation

Social Support/Transport

• Personal care: includes some dressing and appearance and personal hygiene
• Emotional Connection: social, outgoing, good conversationalist, fun and engaging
• Social support/transportation: support clients to access activities and outings in the community, attend appointments, shopping
• Provide 1:1 support in response to individual client needs
• Assist the client according to the requirement in their plan
• Monitoring the well-being of the clients and report on their progress.

What you will need: ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED

• Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred).
• Current CPR / First Aid Certificate.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current and satisfactory Federal Police Check.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred).
• Smartphone with internet access.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 per week

Work Location: In person
