SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

To join our family, you will need (or be willing to apply for):

  • A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • A current National Police Check
  • A current driver’s license (P1+P2 accepted) and access to a roadworthy vehicle
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or proof of enrolment into a course
  • Proof of right to work in Australia. Evidenced by: if Citizen, either birth certificate, citizenship certificate or passport; or if non-Citizen, a copy of passport and visa grant.

Working with D.I.S.E, you’ll help people with disabilities achieve their goals, work toward independent living, and engage proactively within their communities through a range of support services, including:

  • Assistance to Social and Community Participation: Enabling participants to engage in community, social, and recreational activities.
  • In-Home Support: Assisting with domestic duties, routines, cooking, cleaning, and financial skills.
  • Transport Services: Safely transporting participants to appointments, school, work, and community activities.
  • Assistance with and Development of Daily Living and Life Skills: Helping participants become more independent in daily skills, such as personal care, public transport awareness, financial skills, budgeting, pursuing studies or work, obtaining a driver’s license, and more
