Key Responsibilities

  1. Participant Support
  • Provide direct support to participants in areas including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and household tasks.
  • Assist participants in accessing the community, attending appointments, and engaging in social, recreational, and employment activities.
  • Promote participant independence and capacity building through skill development.
  1. Person-Centered Approach
  • Develop and maintain respectful and professional relationships with participants and their families.
  • Follow individual support plans, behavior management plans, and goals outlined in NDIS plans.
  • Monitor and report changes in participants’ needs or circumstances.
  1. Compliance and Reporting
  • Document daily activities, progress notes, and incidents in line with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct and Safeguarding requirements.
  • Support participants in managing risks and ensure a safe environment.
  1. Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with the Team Leader and other support workers to provide consistent and reliable services.
  • Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding participant progress and any challenges faced.
