Support Worker – Disability & Complex Supports

Brisbane North | Brisbane South | Bayside - Positions Available

Positions Available:

We currently have 2 positions available. We are looking for immediate starts on the North Side of Brisbane and Bayside/Logan areas.

Applicants who meet the required prerequisites will be contacted to progress to the next stage of the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support in line with individualised care plans

• Deliver personal, behavioural and high-intensity supports in accordance with participant needs

• Support participants with daily living activities and community access

• Follow Behaviour Support Plans, clinical instructions and restrictive practice requirements

• Maintain accurate shift documentation and promptly report incidents or concerns

• Promote participant dignity, safety, choice and independence at all times

• Work with children aged 6–16 years with ASD Level 2 & 3, ADHD, and non-verbal participants

• Work collaboratively with other support staff and allied professionals while also being able to work independently in line with participant support plans


What You'll Bring

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS-

• Experience in disability, aged care, or community support

• High-intensity support experience and Restrictive Practice including:

• Seizure management

• Epilepsy support

• Dysphagia supports

• Complex manual handling and hoist transfers

• Medication management experience including Midazolam

• Ability to provide evidence of relevant training and when it was last actively used (certificates required)

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other support staff while following support plans and behaviour strategies

• Be a proactive worker — a fast thinker and a doer, not just someone filling a shift

• Excellent communication skills, reliability and strong time management

• Current First Aid & CPR (must have)

• Current Working With Children Check / Blue Card (must have)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

National Police Check

• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

• Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation and Infection Control modules (or willingness to complete)

Willingness to work split shifts and availability across mornings, days, afternoons, nights and active or inactive overnight shifts

• Australian work authorisation required at time of application

• Minimum of 2 years experience in disability, aged care, or community support

  • High-intensity support experience must have been actively used within the last 6 months with appropriate evidence and certificates provided.
