SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience providing personal care
  • Confidence in working with behaviour support plans
  • Passionate about providing active support
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, you will provide support 3 people with disability living in shared housing in Hurstville who enjoy going to local markets, arcades, dogs parks and football games.
The successful candidate will be experienced in supporting people who are non-verbal, require personal care and have behaviour support plans in place. You will have cooking skills and an ability to following mealtime management plans including modified meals.

We are seeking applications from candidates for permanent part time positions only. To be considered, you must be able to commit to one of the set rosters below:

  • 40 hours per fortnight

    • Week 1: Mon 6-10am, Tue 2-8pm, Wed 4-8pm and Thu 11:30pm – 8:30am (active night)
  • Week 2: Tue, Wed & Thu 6-10am and Fri 4-9pm
  • 25.5 hours per fortnight


    • Week 1: No rostered shifts

    • Week 2: Mon 6-10am, Tue 2-8pm, Wed 4-10:30pm and Thu 11:30pm – 8:30am (active night)

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
    • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
    • Maintain thorough record keeping
    • Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
