As a support worker, you’ll be responsible for providing a range of services, such as social support, respite care, domestic assistance, shopping, escorted appointments, and basic personal care.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Commitment to work flexible hours
  • Willingness to obtain the required compliance checks
  • First Aid Training
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Comfortable reporting using digital platforms
  • A good understanding of person-centred support
  • Be comfortable supporting clients with intellectual/physical disabilities, high medical needs, or mental health conditions

Responsibilities

The role of a support worker involves building positive relationships with clients, providing quality in-home and community support, promoting participant choice and control, providing mobility assistance, offering personal care with dignity, documenting clients’ changing needs, and following care plans to support participants’ independence. You’ll also be responsible for driving clients to appointments, events, shopping, and family visits, as well as assisting participants in achieving their goals in line with their NDIS plans.
